Levitra: the Free Choice Now!

It is a fact that a human being has a right of choice in every life situation, and there are no dead-locks. We always have at least two ways to go. What gives more hopes is that the world undergoes constant changes, evolves every second and offers more and more options for the people to choose the most appropriate one on every particular occasion.

Medicine is a science, in which the possibility to choose is vitally important. There are no similar people (as Ozzy Osbourne says, there are no even “identical twins”). Everyone responds to medications his/her own way, having more or less side effects, getting better fast or slowly, etc. Sometimes a person needs a particular approach, which differs from the usual treatment method; a drug, which is considered to be less effective than the others. Therefore, new medications and new studies are always welcome in medicine.

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is among the worst situations a man can be faced with on his life-way, since this disease actually dismisses him from the men’s world. Surely, the more options to improve the erection he has, the better.

One of such available treatment options is Levitra, a drug from the newer generation of ED fighting medications. It is a prescription oral pill as well as Viagra and Cialis. It was developed by Bayer AG and GlaxoSmithKline PLC, and now it is available for patients in pharmacies after the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approval in 2003.

Levitra (verdanafil) is closer to Viagra than to Cialis concerning the vast majority of typical characteristics. It should be taken an hour before the planned sexual intercourse and remains effective for 4 hours (Cialis works faster and longer). Levitra, as well as Viagra, is dangerous if taken with nitrates and medications for chest pain relief as they decrease its effectiveness and aggravate side effects. Special attention is always paid to the fact that the drug may not be taken with grapefruit or its juice, since the result will be severe side effects.

Nevertheless, the principal feature of all the above mentioned pills is similar to all: they work in response to sexual stimulation increasing the blood inflow to the penis by means of inhibiting PDE-5 enzymes, which are actually to blame in the absence of erection.

One particular feature of Levitra is that this pill works effectively with smaller doses (5, 10 or 20 mg), while, for example, Viagra needs 25, 50 or 100 mg dose to work properly.

The side effects of Levitra are: headache, flushing and stuffy or runny nose (similar to those of Viagra). The pill does not cause muscle and back pain, unlike Cialis. Priapism (an erection, which lasts longer than 4 hours) is potentially possible, though seldom occurs.

Therefore, Levitra is an additional option for those, who are not satisfied with the other ED treatment pills, suffer severe side effects of the latter or simply respond better to the drug under description.

Hopefully, the evolution will go on and result in the invention of still better and more effective pills for the 100% men to be able to become happy themselves and to bring pleasure and satisfaction to their partners.
